This should do the trick.
Go to the link on the internet explorer page, then hit the application key.
In the context menu, arrow to "copy shortcut" and hit enter to place the
link into the clipboard.
Then in the appropriate place in your document, use ctrl+v to paste the link
into the document or email message.
This certainly works for direct links to audio files and webpages, should
work for .pdf files, though I've not tried them.
One note, at least in my case, the shortcut key to "copy shortcut" is t, but
sometimes when I've done that, then want to copy another link into an email,
and used the t shortcut, my clipboard still retained the first link I put
into it. So out of habbit I arrow the the appropriate link in the context
menu rather than using the hotkey t.
I've not bothered to try and annalize why this has happened to me in the
past. Using internet exploder 8.

I have Windows XP using Internet Explorer. Normally, when I want to send
someone a link, I do an alt-D and paste the address into the body of my
email. But, how do I send someone a link that opens a PDF document? I

already in the document asking about the reading order choices. I know I
