You can change this to the default classic window view. Go to tools, then
options, then under the general item, first on the list, tab over to a radio
button that probably says "skype, radio button checked. Down arrow until it
says classic windows radio button, checked. These are the two button
choices under the area called "visual style of the window". You will find
area between "show online user count in contact list", and "addd contact
details t your profile".
Make sure to continue to tab over until you find the save button and click
on that.

as far as the menu's go the alt key still does work, but you have to press
it plus the down arrow for file menu, or in combination with the first
letter of the menu item you want, you can't navigate left or right and
have windoweyes voice the menus.
