If you bring up the Window-Eyes control panel with CONTROL Backslash, then
press ALT-C to bring up the cursor menu, you will be on a list of all of the
keys that
are defined to perform specific actions for Window-Eyes and then pass on
through to the application. Since you are hearing speech when CONTROL Arrow
keys
are pressed, these keys almost have to be defined in the current set file you
are using. Therefore, if you arrow down through this list, you should hear
these keys
and then TAB over and either define them to something else or undefine them
altogether. In the set file I have currently loaded, they are the third and
fourth keys. If
you do not find them, tell us how many keys you find before you encounter the
"Undefined" entries, as this will help us know if something different is
happening
there. If you find them and undefine them, as has already been suggested, be
sure to save the set file to a name specific to your application so you don't
undefine
them other places where they are wanted.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

the (ctrl-)arrow-keys, so that they don't force WE to speak out. The 'silence'
feature of
WE (or turning down the synthesizer volume) is no alternative, since I want the
speech feedback when doing other operations in the software.
