Greetings all. Thought You might find this interesting. In fact, I wish
GW Micro would contact Guiding Eyes about this. Guiding Eyes is launching
their wegbsite tomorrow. Notice in the email I'm forwarding, they
specifically mention, "JAWS!!" There is a place to email their web master,
so I did. As much as I'm looking forward to getting another dog from them,
I must admit, this offended me. I get so tired of hearing, jaws jaws
jaws!
I hope more Window-Eyes users will contact them.

Internationally accredited guide dog school
providing greater independence, dignity, and
new horizons of opportunity
New Guiding Eyes for the Blind Website Launching Monday, November 23
Guiding Eyes is pleased to announce that a new website is on the way.
This new site will enable our graduates, volunteers, donors, staff,
and friends to have a single place to access Guiding Eyes resources.
The new site provides our visitors with an enhanced online
experience:
The site’s accessibility to the visually impaired has been
improved, allowing us to eliminate the “text only” site. JAWS will
be able to more easily read and navigate web pages, and text sizes and
colors can be changed according to the user’s needs. Prospective
students will continue to have access to the online application
system. Graduates will continue to have access to the Graduate Center,
which provides targeted resources and information.
The volunteer site will now be integrated into
http://www.guidingeyes.org
. Prospective volunteers will be able to review all Guiding Eyes
volunteer opportunities and begin the application process online.
Active volunteers will have access to the educational tools and
information previously available on http://volunteer.guidingeyes.org
Donors will continue to have access to online giving tools.
Fans, friends, and followers will be able to easily access our online
communities on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube through the new site.
It is our hope that the new http://www.guidingeyes.org
is a more dynamic portal into the world of Guiding Eyes.
Some web visitors may be required to change their login information,
including username or password. Please keep an eye out for your new
user access information coming soon.
If you have any questions about the new website, please contact
[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>
.
We look forward to seeing you online.
