Comments: The Center for Instructional Supports and Accessible Materials (CISAM), Ohio State School for the Blind Outreach Program and Services, in collaboration with GW Micro, Inc. and Universal Low Vision Aids, Inc. invite you to attend the Braille Sense Plus Workshop scheduled to take place on February 10, 2010 in Columbus, OH.
The training will run from 9:00am - 3:30pm. Raul Gallegos and Marc Solomon from GW Micro, Inc. will be presenting.
Parents, teachers, supervisors, and support staff may attend. Registration is limited to the first fifteen (15) participants to register. There is no registration fee to attend.
Braille Sense Plus Workshop Description
The Braille Sense Plus is a powerful productivity tool that can be used by students
who are blind or low vision to accomplish many different types of academic tasks.
The Braille Sense Plus hands-on training will introduce participants to some of the
key applications offered by the Braille Sense Plus including the Word Processor,
Web Browser, File Manager, Media Player, DAISY Player, and the Schedule Manager. Additional time will be provided for questions and answers.
Participants do not need previous experience working with the Braille Sense Plus, but it is recommended that participants have a basic understanding of the braille code.
Lodging
Participants are responsible for making their own reservations and paying for all
hotel costs.
Lunch
Lunch will be prepared by OSSB Student Concessions and paid for by the BEST
Grant.
PDCHs
Five (5) Professional Development
Contact Hours (PDCHs) will be offered.
