Steve,
What is "lethal text"? I don't have any clue what you mean?
I wonder if I have ever encountered it with out knowing it.
Can you elaborate a bit?
Thanks Shannon

I have also just posted an update to the Eloquence Fix script in response to the new driver's release. Yes; it's still needed for the time being if you want to keep the synthesizer from crashing when encountering lethal text. You can download it from https://www.gwmicro.com/Script_Central/Scripts/Script_Details/?scriptid=1026

Yep. Copy and paste is your friend. Or just access the Patches/Upgrade section of the Downloads page. There are all kinds of ways to skin this cat. <grin>

Alan,

There is something off in the link. If you click on it or copy the link
location, you get an error. if you copy and paste the actual link text,
you can get the patch.

HTH,

Chris

Hello Aaron,

I’m sure that I am missing something totally obvious in my narcotic
painkiller-fogged mind, but I see no evidence of this patch at the URL
provided in your message.

Thanks for any clarification.

*Subject:* GW Micro Announces Window-Eyes 7.X Eloquence Performance Patch

GW Micro is very excited to announce the release of a new Eloquence
performance patch for Window-Eyes 7.0 and greater.

When Window-Eyes 7.0 switched from the SAPI version of Eloquence to
the dedicated Eloquence driver, an unfortunate side effect of
occasional stuttering and unresponsiveness began to occur.

Now, after listening to, and working directly with Window-Eyes
customers, we are able to provide a much needed boost to the Eloquence
synthesizer.

Gone are the days of Eloquence sluggishness. The new Window-Eyes
Eloquence driver delivers superior performance and responsiveness by
greatly enhancing the speed at which Window-Eyes and the Eloquence
driver communicate.

The Window-Eyes 7.X Eloquence Patch is completely free, and can be
installed on any version of Window-Eyes 7.0 or greater, under both
32-bit and 64-bit operating systems. Window-Eyes may be running during
the patch install.

You can access the Window-Eyes 7.X Eloquence Patch from the following
webpage:

http://www.gwmicro.com/Support/Downloads/?fileNo=1145
</Support/Downloads/?fileNo=1145.htm>

Alternatively, you can access the GW Micro Downloads section on the GW
Micro support page, select Patches/Upgrades, then select Window-Eyes
7.X Eloquence Patch.

Please let us know if you have any questions or comments.
