Yes, what you say is very true accept when it comes to playing games man. laptops are getting better with graphics speed but still not up to the same priced as a desktop when it comes to versatility with games. Best, Craig R. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kevin Barry" <[email protected]>

Sorry, but this is nonsense.
The fastest today will not last one minute longer than a mid priced machine. All you will do is spend a lot more money for a small improvement in speed now. A few years from now what was top of the line today will seem like out of date mediocrity and you'll wonder why you wasted so much money when if you had spent less you'd be in about the same position.

the reason you should get the best is quite frankly the best to day will last you a long time. so go for it and while your at it get a high end graphics adapter.

i don't see why you want the fastest everything here.
For everyday use, I would recommend a duel core, or quad core, but you don't need the fastest thing out there. i still am running on a single-core computer, with 2 gb ram, doing just fine.

I am hoping to get a new computer bilt for myself with the
latest CPU chips at their highest speeds.
64 bit and windows seven.
could you recommend a grafic card or will any grafic card do.
I will be the only one using the computer with window-eyes.
Any other suggestions would be welcome or things I should look out
for.
Many thanks.

Cheers Robin.
