I have a Tripple Talk USB and use it as my back-up synthesizer. I do this because if my sound card goes bad, I can still navigate my computer. For your back-up synthesizer to work, you must hold the Shift key down when starting Window-Eyes. If your back-up synthesizer is not attached, Window-Eyes will load, but it will attempt to use your back-up synthesizer. Of course, it will not be found, so you will hear no speech. Once you have chosen your back-up synthesizer, Window-Eyes will continue to try to use it, even if you reload Window-Eyes but don't use the Shift Key. Window-Eyes will not automatically revert to your default synthesizer if your back-up is not attached. However, reattaching the back-up synthesizer and reloading Window-Eyes will solve this. ----- Original Message ----- From: tt1 To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, February 07, 2010 2:00 PM Subject: How does backup synthesyser work?
