Hello,

This does happen on my Windows 7 PC at home.

On start up the logon initially uses the GW Micro DECTalk 32 voice. Once
the PC has started it then uses the DECTalk Express synth attached to
the PC. Note that on a different PC when this synth was attached
directly to a com port it was used all of the time. Now, on this PC, it
is now connected to a USB slot via a converted cable to the serial cable
out of the synth. It would seem that the USB slot only becomes active
once the PC has properly started and Window-Eyes is clever enough to
handle it.

Regards, John.

Hello List:

Here at work, just went to Windows7 Professional, all works well except
when I login, I still hear Dec Access 32 and after the logon is complete
goes to my default synth on com1.

All startup options are set to logon meaning the default admin options
ETC. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

System 4GB ram, 3.0GB processor and the latest Windows updates.

John
