window eyes does look at every keystroke, even if it doesn't do anything
with it.
 
with 8000 files to process, and this slight slowdown, if you have an older
(slower) system, I would not be surprised that the timing is thrown off a
bit with 8000 files.

The problem on Vista only occurs when Window-Eyes is running.  I make sure
that the entire list is loaded before I try to navigate it.
