If the laptop works fine, its simple. You dont need to upgrade. If you
need a new laptop, go with Win 7 32bit. There is little difference between
32 and 64 and none that most people would notice.
One thing that is better about Win 7 that is readily apparent is it
boots much faster, the interface, while different, is much nicer in many
ways, the search function is really cool once you get used to it.
And, ALL of my apps aside from the email client, work in 7. By the way,
I have Win 7 Home, no xp mode.
