Jim I tried this software some time ago when I was still using JAWS, and again absolutely nothing was accessible. Contacting the company proved fruitless for me too.
I would recommend Drive Snapshot for backing up. This does the same thing as Acronis, taking an image of the whole hard drive or whatever you want to store. Go to the following page: http://www.drivesnapshot.de/en/ That's the English page, as it is a German product. I find it very easy to use. When launched, you get a dialog box where you fill in a file name for the backup you want to create. I normally use the drive letter of my external drive plus the current date. There are other things to look at, but if you know anything about backing up you won't need me to explain. I hope that helps. I can't remember now how much it cost, but I don't think it broke the Bank, and I believe it is a one off charge. I think they are using bitmapped graphics. I even emailed their support department regarding this and I never got any kind of response from them. -----Original Message----- From: Jim Ruby [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, June 30, 2010 10:03 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Acronis True Image 2010 Hi, has anyone ever used this backup software with window-eyes 7,x? it is very fast so I am told. I currently use Image for Windows by TeraByte Unlimited I am currently looking for something a bit faster as there are a lot of nice imaging applications out there with incremental backups used with a nas now.
