customer service told me there was only one programmer and they are
passing the buck, oops i mean passing it along to the programmer.
to see if there is anything they can do about the iodesk player.
is there any radio players i could use with the radioio.com site that is accessible? i have been able to go to a station then create a windows shortcut to the station. this works but it will still use the i e 8 browser and the flash player to play the stream. the io desktop player does not. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chip Orange" <[email protected]>

No, Adobe Air is a different product.

I'm afraid we4java is not guaranteed to help; but it can help if the java
programmer used java's accessibility programming features. once it's
installed, as you have already done, that's all you have to do.

You could write to the original product authors (I think you said something
like radioIO) and tell them about it's accessibility issues; sometimes
you'll get a programmer who really wants to help.

good luck,

Chip

i don't understand how to use it. i have it installed and the accessibility
plug in added to the java folder. but what then?
the iodesk player from the radioio.com site uses adobe air. is this java?
if so it doesn't seem to do anything.

Did you try the we4java script? it's supposed to help make a lot of java
apps accessible.

You can change channels, songs, bitrate, but not push the play button to
play\break. You need to use your WE mouse i.e. numpad mouse or physical
mouse to knock on songs or shift channels within a channel. Best to try
together with a sighted person to get familiar with the interface. It is
java, it looks like. Though you cant push play button you set channels to
play bu knocking on sqares. If you need to pause, you must quit IE8 with fks
alt + F4 and restart IE8 and so on. If you dont have an hardware solution
fks an dedicated music computer system. Its very good music here, i mean
very good. But, no punk rock or death metal or sort of.

Take care
