I guess i did not mean that every page is usable as is, When using a mobile
version or vituralizing the site also might work
Using tools like web visum and other capture tools, also helps with
difacult pages.
Sorry if i offended any of you.

I've enjoyed reading many of your contributions to the list, but I
think you don't realize that you are the one who started something
here. Basically, whether you intended to or not, with the combin of
these two posts, you just told everyone on the list who has
encountered problems that they are not internet savvy and don't know
anything about what they are talking about. As I said, I don't know
what your motivation was, but the result was rather insulting. I've
been using computers for nearly 30 years and have been using Window
Eyes off and on for around 13 or 14 years. I have indeed encountered
problems, I have also found GW Micro to be more receptive to fixing
them once confirmed and the cause is pinned down than certain other
litigious competitors.

The point is that just because you haven't encountered any problems
doesn't mean there aren't any. Also, what you might brush off as a
mild inconvenience or what you might not even notice as an
inconvenience may prove to be a large problem to another user. I
don't believe the previous poster was implying you had no internet
savvy, he was stating that you hadn't encountered any of the problem
sites. If you never encountered being jumped out of edit boxes back
into browse mode and moved to the top of a page that is great for
you. That problem is now solved for every page I use, but it was
there. If you haven't had problems selecting options like size and
color of items at sites like Amazon, that is great. I've been able to
do it with most items, but the way to do it is extremely clumsy and
frustrating and so I consider it a problem. If you have not had sites
try to redirect you and have not been able to access the 'Allow'
button without closing and restarting Window Eyes, that is great for
you, but I have to do this every time I use my pay phrase to order
quickly at Amazon and I consider that a problem. I have encountered
sites where buttons don't work in Firefox, but work in IE, but they
work fine in Firefox if WE is shut down and a sighted person uses the
mouse to click the button. See the checkout process at Meritline for
that one, though I haven't shopped there in a while, so they might
have changed the cart and fixed it by now.

What I am saying and what previous posters are saying is that no
matter how much knowledge you have about browsing the internet, you
haven't experienced it all and if you haven't run into any of the
problems then it is great and wonderful for you, but it is not
grounds to pronounce that WE is absolutely problem free and that all
who experience problems are either exaggerating, lying, or just don't
know what they are doing. Again, I don't know what your motivation
was, but you came across as quite insulting and that is why you got
the reaction you got. Then you got hostile to the reaction and seemed
surprised that people got upset when you called them ignorant and/or
stupid. Maybe you didn't mean to make those implications about
everyone on the list who has experienced problems, but they were
implicit in the statement without some sort of context given to allow
that others might have legitimate problems.

This response is not meant to be hostile or to state that I believe
that the most negative interpretation was your actual intent. I'm a
live and let live poster and try to avoid getting into hairballs on
the lists and boards I am on, but I am one of the people who has
encountered problems and still have a list that I hope GW Micro is
able to address as time goes by. I think that WE is superior to other
products as a whole, but there are still things they need to work on
and things that are problems for WE that are not problems for System
Access or even Jaws. The difference I see with GW over the other big
competitor is that they listen to their users and are proactive about
getting in touch with software companies and websites once a problem
has been pointed out.

Regards,

Chris
