Browse mode applications such as internet explorer are different from
normal programs.
When browse mode is turned on, when using the internet, the links, etc.
are in the browse mode buffer. So you might not be hearing what the
sighted person is seeing.
With browse mode off, as when you are filling in edit fields, you and
the sighted viewer should be looking at the same area of the screen.
Hope this helps,
Jeff Weiss

Subject: RE: others can't see my screen

I am also blind and didn't understand what the real answer to my query
about
others seeing my screen was. I wanted to show my friend, using WE 7.2
and
XP Home, a website which for me, is not very accessible. She couldn't
see
my cursor or figure out where I was on the web page. I maximized the
page
and tried to locate a setting that might help her know where my cursor
was.
I routed the mouse pointer to cursor thinking that might help. We ended
up
printing out the web page so she had a hardcopy of it. This begs the
question about having trouble in a regular document and what to do when
I
need a sighted person to help with spacing, line numbering or just
helping
with a formatting problem. Is it different on the internet than when
I'm
offline and working in an office program, etc.? Thank you for
clarifying.
