Not many people know about this so I am going to give step by step on how to
get it if you don't see it in your start menu.
First check your start menu to see if it is already installed. To do this go
to start, all programs, Microsoft office, tools, and under tools you should
see Microsoft document scanning. If you don't see this under tools then it
is not installed.
Here is how to install it in Microsoft office 2007.
1. Locate your installation cd
2. Put it into the drive and select run setup.exe in your auto play choices.
If you don't see auto play you are going to need to go to my computer or
computer depending on what OS your running. Once in your computer select
your cd drive and press enter.
3. Give confirmation if needed
4. Your brought to a window that asks you what you want to do. Tab around to
make sure you have checked add and remove features, once you have made sure
that's the case, tab to the continue button and press enter
5. Here is where you are brought to a window that has a list view of things
you can install but it is not accessible with the arrow keys on your
keyboard. You are going to need to use your mouse keys to access this menu.
So, press your top left key either on your num-pad or on your key board with
the FN key to bring you to the top of the window.
6. Press your down mouse arrow key until you hear Office tools
7. On this you are going to want to do a right mouse click
8. Once you do the right mouse click use your down arrow keyboard key until
you hear run all from my computer
9. Press enter on run all from my computer
10. Tab until you hear the continue button and press enter
11. You should be ready to go from here, just finish the installation and
then it will appear in your start menu under all programs/Microsoft
office/tools/Microsoft document scanning
Hope this helps somebody
