Try installing the No Script add on. The only drawback to this is that you have to then authorize scripts you want to allow to run on pages, but I've found that this doesn't take very long and is much preferable to all of the problems autoloading/refreshing causes on an increasing number of pages. This script also speeds up the loading of a lot of pages since only the scripts you allow will load. You can also temporarily allow single or all scripts on a page to run, meaning that they run for that session until you shut down Firefox and restart it. This is useful for pages like Youtube where the issue with being knocked back into browse mode while trying to type in the search field is intrinsic to the main page script and thus will happen as long as videos are able to run. You then search for what you want, open the page for the video you want and then allow the scripts to run, thus playing the video. If you want to do another search, you then forbid the script again, do your search and then allow the script to play videos. All of this forbidding and permitting is done through the context menu and is very easy to do.

I am using Firefox. When I get onto job sites, especially careerbuilder.com, the page keeps refreshing. Even using insert-A does not work to stop page refreshing. Anything else I can try? Thanks.
