Let me just check with you to make sure I have it right: to you mean page footers, and not footnotes?
If it's page footers, as I recall under 2003, under the view menu you can choose "headers and footers", and you are put in a pane which is the page header; down arrow once or twice and it tells you you've moved into the page footer. to go back to the main document press f6 or under the view menu, choose "print layout" or normal. I'm sure there's similar steps for 2007 and later. that's why I'm checking with you: these are too difficult and you'd like it to be easier and quicker? or did you mean footnotes?? or you didn't know you could do it this way?? thanks. I just downloaded it. a small remark and a question. I convert my word documents with the 'save as' function to html, when opening this file in a web browser I can also use fast navigating keys of the browse mode. a big advantage are the generated internal links for the footers. check also: http://www.wikiblind.org/index.php?title=The_most_optimal_way_to_work_with_r ead-only_documentation my question would be if it is also possible to have a feature in word documents to quickly navvigate to the footers and back to the text again? cheers! great to -----Original Message----- From: Chip Orange [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, October 23, 2010 2:24 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Navigating in a Word 2007 document Hi Janet, this isn't built into WE, but can be done with the WordNav script from GW. The scripts allows you to navigate through any number of items such as headings, tables, words with spelling or grammar errors, etc. hth, Chip -----Original Message----- From: janet brandly [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, October 22, 2010 6:49 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Navigating in a Word 2007 document Hello, Would someone please tell me how to navigate among headings in a Word 2007 document? I've looked in the manual and can't seem to find anything. Thanks, Janet If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
