Hi,

The musicians in the house will know what I mean. Hopefully I can make it
clear for the rocket scientists!

Guitar chords are indicated by a letter, A through G and often the letter is
followed by a lower case m which means minor, a number symbol which means
sharp, a lower case b which means flat and often maj which means major, sus
which means suspend, dim which means dinished, etc. And also we will see
something like F#7/E which means play an F Sharp seven and walk to an E
root.

When reading through a song with chords using Window eyes unless you have
all the symbol announcements turned on, which can be counter productive and
overly verbose at times, we have to arrow through the chord name to get all
the required information.

So I thought why not use the exception dictionary? Worked well for like Am
Bm Dm etc. but when we get into the more complex like say an F#7/E it is not
doing what I need.

Any thoughts?

Sincerely,

Donald E. Bowen, Jr.
