Sorry George, but I don't agree that it's a script which causes the status for read/unread to be said.
with all versions of outlook before 2010, this is done by graphic icons, and WE using it's graphic dictionary to recognize them and say the proper message. When you change versions of outlook, from 2003 to 2007 say, the graphics do change. sometimes, the graphics for your particular resolution aren't in the dictionary, and there is an article in the knowledgebase of the window eyes support web page, which tells you how to find them on the screen, and get them entered into your dictionary. GW would like you to send them your dictionary once you do this, so they can share it with others. sorry I don't have the link to the article in the GW knowledgebase, but it's easy to find. since a lot of programs use these little graphic icons to convey information to you, it's even good practice to have someone walk you through getting them defined in your dictionary. with outlook 2010 WE has switched to getting the information directly from outlook, so the graphics are no longer used. hth, Chip -----Original Message----- From: George B [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, December 10, 2010 1:03 PM To: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: RE: Two Questions about Microsoft Outlook Question 1 you can not get rid of that search box Question 2 it is a script > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Friday, December 10, 2010 09:58 > To: [email protected] > Subject: Two Questions about Microsoft Outlook > > Hello there, I have just set up Microsoft Outlook 2007.
