Have you tried editing the Exception Dictionary? Here are the steps: 1. Place the Mouse pointer on the offending word; 2. use the CTRL-SHIFT-E keystroke to bring up the dictionary dialog; 3. Hit the SPACEBAR on the Exception Dictionary Button; 4. The Exception Dictionary dialog should come up with the offending word in the "Original" Edit Box. Tab to the "Replacement" Edit Box and type in how you would like Window-Eyes to pronounce the word; 5. Tab to the Add Button and hit the SPACEBAR; 6. You will be placed in an empty "Original" Edit Box. If you don't wish to make any further changes, simply SHIFT-TAB to the OK Button and hit the SPACEBAR.
HTH. -----Original Message----- From: Morne Van der Merwe [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, December 28, 2010 2:24 AM To: GW Info Discussion List Subject: Changing pronounsiation of a word Hi list, Is there a way to "tell" Window eyes how to pronounce a word? I want to change the pronounciation of the word Celtic to Keltic, as Keltic is the correct way to say the word. However, it I still want to spell it with a C but with a K sound. Is it possible?
