Interesting Question: I always thought that underlined text would be read as a link but now that I have seen how links are actually labeled and that they are a specific type of control I am not sure how an underlined text would be read. Perhaps there is some setting you can tweak but allot of that depends on how the underline gets there I think. For example, if it uses css or JavaScript to do the underlining then I am not sure about the timing of when WE would try and read the text since it uses the DOM I think. Anyway, it is an interesting question and this type of problem is becoming more and more prevalent due to the newer HTML, CSS and other internet accessibility standards. So, this is indeed an interesting question if I get it right - no guerentee of that though. I am just an old fat blind guy trying to keep up.

Hi, List,

I didn't receive an answer to my post, so I'm forwarding it to the list. I've tried everything I can think of, but I can't get WE to distinguish between regular text and underlined text on a practice test question from a web site. I'm sure it must be my fault--I'm not the most expert WE user, (grin). ----- Original Message ----- From: "Terri Pannett" <[email protected]>

I'm using WE 6.1. I went to a web page which has practice test questions on it. Some of the words were supposed to be underlined, but I couldn't detect which ones. How can I get WE to read the underlined text?
