Thanks for clarifying things Sam; yes, I agree, this is the line you should
end up with to get the script working.

Hi all,

Here is my exact line from the
weatherornot.vbs file

tempString = Replace(details(1), "°", " ")

Wow, strange I had the "&" in and it didn't work.
Then I took it out and ran it and some how the "&" got put back in.
Siorry guys, try it with the line above.
It works now for me.
Thanks,
Sam

Did that, but it didn't fix the problem. It says temp but doesn't display
it.

Hi All,

Chip is mostly correct.

the string is actually:
"&#176" replace with "deg"
You need to either restart we or restart the script for it to take affect.
I have my temp back.
thanks Chip.

it sure looks like they've got a mistake in their xml, but anyone who'd like
to edit the weather or not .vbs file so it's working again; you need only
find the four character string of "#176" and replace it with the three
lowercase letters of "deg" (no quotes) and then restart the script, and the
farenhite temp anyway should work.

hth,

Chip

Yes, so have I.

I bet there's been a change in the xml format of the data coming from this
service, and so we'll have to wait until GW has time to look at it.

Hi, guys. I've noticed today that the weather or not script gives all the
conditions and stuff, but not the temperature, despite restarts, etc. Has
anyone else noticed this today?
