Hit the windows key, type mmc, hit tab, arrow down to add snap in module,
arrow down to Windows Firewall with Advanced Security(Windows Firewall
Advanced), tab once to add, tab to OK, hit enter and you have the best
Firewall for Windows.

You need to use the WE mouse(insert + on the numpad) in the three view to
get the right announcement of maps. Find out how to close all incoming and
outgoing. Then open only for outgoing for programs. Use the help option and
searsch for Giode Windows Firewall Advanced. Try to find the basic one.
Don’t remember where I found it, so you need eventually to search with
Google. Now I found it, this is very good

Please follow the guide from start to finish. I don’t have enough knowledge
to support. There is a good Windows Firewall plug in in this thread also. It
just works, but have som annoying throuble with the plug in. Not Microsoft,
but third party plug in. It was registration problems. The software itself
worked fine. You don’t need this third party plug in. Windows Firewall
Advance works just as a Swiss knife without the plug in.

Take care

I've been using the webroot products for the past several years, but am
finding them to be less and less satisfactory as time goes by. In order to
keep their software usable it is necessary to remain at an earlier version,
and you know the rest of the story.
>From recent posts I have some idea of what antivirus programs work well, but
I'm wondering about firewall software. I looked through gwmicro and outpost
was recommended, but the reference was rather old and software does change.
Is anyone working with either the latest version of the outpost firewall or
security software successfully?
