Hi, I have tried several things to get rid of the log on screen to my windows
xp system, sp3. I had installed the .net framework updates, and now I get a
log on screen when my system boots up. Window eyes tells me it cannot
activate, or something like that, because I have to choose which account I wish
to use. There is a window with Keith steinbach, a counter with the number of
unread email messeges, and a turn off computer.

I went to the start menu, (after hitting on the Keith Steinbach button to enter
windows, and hit the run option under the stat menu. I then typed control
passwords2, and unchecked the box about users must log on using a user id and
password.

I then clicked okay, which opened another window, with the word admin in the
user id and an area for me to enter a password and an area to retype my
password. I left both blank and hit okay. I then restarted windows.

I got the same dialog with Keith steinbach, the email counter, and turn off
computer.

I hit the Keith steinbach option, and windows booted up. I went to C drive,
and clicked on Documents and settings, and what was listed was a folder named
Keith Steinbach, one named all users, and one named default user.. There
wasn't anything refering to .net framework.

I then went to control panel, and opened user accounts. There were two
accounts listed One named Keith Steinbach, computer administrator, and one
called guest, which was turned on.

Once again, there is nothing refering to a phantom account or anything.

I tried the WI tried using

Any further help to get rid of the log on screen would be apprecaited. Should
I just uninstall the .net framework? I know I need the framework to
run/install dvdvideosoft software.
