hi,
this doesn’t happen with window-eyes in the system tray. what is happening
here is you have window-eyes in the alt+tab order so when you close one program
your focus gets put on the next window. all you really need do here is issue a
windows+m command to minimize all aps. this should then take you to the
desktop.
if you only want window-eyes to get active when you issue the command for it
like I said consider adding it to the system tray.

the opening of the w e control panel is not new. it has been happeningway back
with w e 5.
you just didn't notice it. it was saying something like. wineyes.000., you have
to press escape to close it again.
it does it when i close fire fox, web farrett ie, and openbook. this is not new.
but with the 7.5 beta it is more pronounced because it will speak the menu
where you last left off.
and it opens when i use the same programs that it has been doing this to w e
back with w e 5.

  Subject: three WE problems

  Hi,
Using Win 7 HP 32, Triple Talk USB on a desktop with Beta 1.

Is anyone else having problems similar to the following:

  1.
Pressing alt F4 from a partition or a folder, say drive E: in order to
regain the desktop, opens the WE control panel the same way as pressing
control back slash. However, pressing alt F4 in order to exit say,
Notepad works as it should. Also, pressing alt F4 from the desktop gives
the normal shut down options. So far, the opening of the WE control
panel by pressing alt F4 only seems to occur when attempting to obtain
  the desktop from elsewhere.

This situation did not occur under 7.2.

  2.

When a single file exists in afolder, WE correctly says, filename.ext 1 of 1

However, when the file is deleted, WE incorrectly says filename.ext but
gives no index number although the file is no longer visible.

In order to have WE indicate the folder is empty by remaining silent, the
backspace key followed by the enter key must be pressed. Using the
insert back slash combination does not help.

The same situation exists for deleted folders.

This did not exist under WXP and 7.2 but commenced after the
installation of Win7 a few months ago.

  3.
The pressing of insert plus does not route the mouse cursor to the
current file name in a folder but places the mouse cursor at the top of
the folder but not necessarily at the first file. Pressing
numpad F6 once gives a type of error sound while the second press of
numpad 6 begins to spelll the first file or folder name.

However, if the mouse cursor is moved to the applications cursor in
Notepad using insert plus, then the mouse cursor functions normally.

This problem did not exist under WXP and 7.2 but commenced with a clean
installation of Win 7 HP 32.

Anyone experienced any or all of the above?

  Thanks
  Neville.
