Window-eyes cannot automatically speak the title details of the various boxes
on a Word form - this is not a fault of Window-eyes but relates to how
Microsoft Word forms are created.

Regardless of the Word version, you need to create help text for each element
of the form. This is a useful label on the form's toolbar which allows
Window-eyes to speak the instruction of the field. It is not printed. The
procedures for doing this vary depending upon Word versions, particularly
between Word 2003, Word 2007 etc.

For Word 2003, Gw Micro has a knowledge base article which you can get to by
doing a search from wihtin the Knowledge Base support link of the GW Micro site.

Best of luck.

Vaughan.

Subject: filling out forms on microsoft word

Hi all,

I am in the process of creating a form that I need for my job.

It is a microsoft word document with edit boxes and check boxes. I can go from
each idea with the tab key.

Unfortunately, windoweyes doesn't speak what the edit box is calling for.

Is there any way to overcome this to get windoweyes to read the labels to the
edit boxes.

Or is there a way to label the edit boxes and check boxes so windoweyes will
read them?

Thanks,
Andre
