Windows 7 64 bit PC, fully patched.
Office 2010 fully patched.
I cannot give full details on this as I was unsure what I did to make it
happen.
I was using Outlook 2010 and the speech suddenly went, with no apparent
reason.
I tried killing it and restarting WE. I was told by the system that WE
was already running.
I then got some sighted assistance to change the speech synth from
Dectalk Express serial USB to the WE Dectalk. Speech was then back.
On investigation I found that the reason the speech had gone was that
the comm port had change from 6 to 1.
I do not have a clue how that happened.
