Hello list, Now, with sighted assistance, have got to the bottom of this one.
The pop up screen which is totally invisible to WE turned out to be a request to install "Bing Bar". Have now responded negatively to it and the problem has gone away. I don't know if this was the impact of an update to IE 8 with the latest set of MS patches or the installation of Windows Live Mail 2011. Could GW talk to MS to see how they can get some visibility to that install screen? Office 2010 all patches. IE 8 all patches. When in Outlook and wanting to view one of those problematic e-mails, one which has to be viewed in the browser, it does not seem to work. Using <h>A V all that happens is that IE is opened, WE says something like "pop up window" and that is it. I cannot get at the browser screen. I have tried both a re-draw and a refresh of the screen without success.
