The behavior of falling pitch has been around for a long time. However, you can
stop the language change by going to browse mode and languages, and telling
Window-Eyes not to change automatically. Hope this helps.

  Subject: speech and pitch question

I have noticed especially on the web, I am using IE, that when a page starts
reading or I page down the speech about halfway through the screen begins
slowing down somewhat and the voice pitch gets lower and lower. Less frequently
this also happens when reading long passages in NotePad or WordPad as well. I
do not remember this happening that much in 7.2 I did set the pitch and rate I
prefer. Is there something more I should do to improve this problem?

Additionally, I have noticed some changes in pronunciation of words which I
never modified in the dictionary. And now that I think of it, a couple of times
the voice seemed to develop an unusual accent while in the process of reading
as well. Just a couple of observations.

  Thanks for listening!
