This is what has been happening to me, with the addition of it
happening in Eudora as well. I have XP SP3 with 1 Gb of RAM and use
MSE as my virus protection. Updating to the Beta 1 did not fix the
problem, but with the new interface, I can sometimes find that
autoload has been turned off in the global setting. I can save the
setting again and again, but it always reverts after a certain amount
of time browsing the web or reading emails. I had hoped that
installing 7.5 Beta 1 would fix the problem, but the only effect the
upgrade seemed to have with my web browsing is that WE is more
responsive when things are working well and that Firefox, 3.6.13
crashes more, and I mean a lot more. It took me about five tries to
buy something at Amazon today. Every time I tried to login and go to
checkout, Firefox would crash and I would have to restart. Finally,
after a bunch of tries and a restart followed by a couple more tries,
I made it through. The crashes seem to happen when I open a new
browser window, especially when I click on an RSS feed entry and it
tries to open whatever I clicked on and when I do something that
executes a script like starting a video playing or temporarily
allowing a script to run that has been stopped. I don't know if the
problems are connected, but the autoload problem is obviously not a
7.5 issue since it existed with 7.2 but the crashes began right after
I finished the beta install.
