Interesting. I haven't had this problem. I have used a braille display from time to time and have not had difficulty when deactivating the display. Frankly, I like the Keep Changes option because if my change causes loss of speech, I will be able to retain what I had. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave bahr" <[email protected]>

Subject: speech freezes when activating braille display in we 7.5b

Hi there,

I just thought I'd point out this, apologies if it's been discussed already and i missed it. I noticed that when I go from setting the braille display to, none, to activating my alva, the speech freezes while it's making the connection. I had forgotten that there is the revert and keep changes feature, and by the time the display came up and showed the keep changes button, the time limit was up on that option. So I had to activate the display and then press k, without speech. Ok, it's not the biggest deal, but I thought I'd point it out. I have to be honest and say I really don't care for the revert or keep changes idea, or at least make the time longer? you might be able to do that already I don't know.
