I'm using virtually the same system as yours, i.e. XP, SP3, IE8, and Eset. I use Amazon frequently and never have any problems. I tried the other links you provided and had no problems. I do occasionally see web pages that insist on refreshing, but I don't remember the last time I got an error message or Window-Eyes hung on a web page. But I'm not a wild surfer and don't have a hundred plug-ins installed. I'm not saying that you are and do, just stating my situation for the sake of clarity.

For some reason I don't experience virtually any of the browsing problems folks have mentioned on this list. But I do clean out my cache and run disk cleanup frequently.

Have you tried doing a clean sweep on your internet cache, e.g. temp files, cookies, etc.? Then you might try disk cleanup. Then, just for good measure, defrag while your at it. You can also try turning off apps. If that solves the problem it's time to track down an errant app.

Regards,
Tom

Subject: Internet Browsing No Bargin With 7.5 Beta

When I browse the internet, pages often continually refresh. Window-Eyes hangs or freezes. I must use the kill script. When Window-Eyes comes back, i hear the sound generated when a pop-up has occurred. Sometimes, Window-Eyes doesn't come back, and I must reboot. Sometimes, I get the wespeech16 error. Rarely will Window-Eyes generate an error report. Try www.juno.com. Try Amazon. Try www.theharbinger.com. Try the page of your choice. I use Esset Smart Security, but even when it is off, these symptoms occur. They don't always occur, but they happen too often. The occured to some extent with 7.2, but I hoped they would improve. After two reinstalls of Window-Eyes and testing of the beta, they have not. The final straw is that Window-Eyes does not find my previous position any more. Sorry for the long read. Hopefully, I'm missing something. I am using Windows XP SP3. If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
