I am experiencing similar issues with a specific airline's online booking
facilities, but I am not yet sure if the airline has made changes or whether it
is the Window-eyes beta interface with Firefox. Also similar problems with
Internet Explorer 9 but not as restricting as with Firefox.

Subject: WE Beta, Firefox, and edit controls

Using the WE beta with both Firefox 3 and Firefox 4 beta 12, I am having
difficulty with edit controls. It doesn't matter if it is the area for
entering a web address, the search edit field reached by pressing
Control+K, or an edit control on a web page. I cannot navigate or delete
text. Pressing the left and right arrows or backspace or delete does not
yield the expected result. I may hear a ding sound, a double ding sound,
or a random letter. If my Seika braille display is showing text as I
delete it, I can make sure I remove only the desired characters.
However, if I am attempting to move through text, I have no idea where
the cursor truly is.
When I realized We and Firefox were not behaving as expected, I opened
the WE control Panel. I noticed the Firefox set was not associated with
Firefox. I was using the default set file. I believed I opened the
Firefox set file and associated it with Firefox beta by saving the
settings. Pressing Control+Shift+T informed me the Firefox set file was
open, but not associated. Apparently, I don't know how to associate set
files in the beta. Furthermore, I am not sure where to find the
information in the beta's manual.
With the Firefox set open, I retried entering text into several edit
controls with the same results.
I am currently entering desired text into Notepad, cutting it to the
clipboard, and pasting the text into edit controls on a web page. This
works, but it is inefficient. And furthermore,it is definitely not a
technological advancement.
