chris, allow me to shake your hand in mutual agreement of your last message. Hell no I'm not gonna uninstall the whole thing, like you said, I'd lose a lot of stuff, plus I don't have time. I've noticed the crashes are a bit less at present than they were last night....oh, wait! I'm not really using ff now, ha. Yep, same here, started happening when I installed the beta, just a heads up gw programming gurus.

I think the current version of 4 is still in release candidate status.
While it likely won't change, it shouldn't move to the auto update until
they actually do an official release. I think this is mostly to give
add-on and plug-in designers a chance to check their stuff with the
final version.

Agreed on the crashes. I have tried reinstalling, deactivating all of my
add-ons one at a time and all together then reactivating them one at a
time. Nothing works. The only thing I haven't tried is a complete
uninstall including cleaning out everything the uninstall process leaves
behind in the Mozilla folder and all of the user folders along with the
registry before reinstall. I really don't want to do that and lose all
of my saved login info and all of that, but I am not sure what else I
could try. I guess it is still possible it could be unrelated to the WE
beta, but the crashes literally started the moment I installed the beta.
There were none before and now they are constant and really frustrating.
I solved my browse mode issues by disabling the enhanced browse mode WE
app, but doing that didn't help with the crashes and disabling other WE
apps hasn't helped either. I hope I can figure this out and fix it. I
really am unfond of IE and prefer to use it as little as possible.

chris

I'm glad I'm not the only one getting these crashes. Driving me mad,
they are. I'm surprised ff hasn't just updated itself automatically
though.

I tried the last beta briefly in hopes of solving my problem of massive
multiple Firefox crashes since updating to the WE 7.5 beta and when I
tried to access the add-ons menu, it came up as a webpage that wouldn't
let me do anything, including navigating up and down. I messed around a
little and discovered that I still got the crashes, so I downgraded back
to 3.6.15. That was my brief experience.

Have tried it and basic browsing seems to work with no problem under
WE 7.2.
Not sure how beneficial these new tab features will be as I can't
seem to
find how to use them.
