I think the status of this list as a reliable feedback mechanism to GW Micro is overstated.
A small number of people make a large amount of noise, and the list is one of a variety of means by which GW micro gauge the views of its customers. For example: some people say that the period between version releases is too great. Are these the same people who castigate Freedom Scientific for frequent releases of JAWS, most of which are riddled with bugs. For good reason - GW has to be discrete about when public releases, be they beta or for sale, are made available. This current 7.5 beta 1 will have been worked on with respect to fixes and improvements, immediately following its release. I would rather my SMA last a long time, with quality releases, rather than have it used quickly with the distribution of products which remain unfinished or for which proper testing has not occurred. I disagree! I think that GWMicro's decisions should be made purely on the basis of who says what on this list. Let us just count the pros ond cons based on list responses; then GWMicro can make its decisions.
