Thanks to all of you that answered this.
I was really worried that it was not going to work.
Like I said since I am still useing old/"out dated" software and programs the new support of the UIA and IE9 and the remote connection is not going to help me. The last thing I wanted to do is break the one thing that I would be able to use out of the new version. Smile. I know one of these days when my XP goes to computer heaven I will be hurrled into the 21st centry but untill that I am not running out to buy a new one since this one does what I need it to do.

Many conflicting reports have stopped me from installing the new download. I had decieded to wait for the disk to come in the mail and then give it a try. Some say it is faster and others say it is slower. Some say that is more stable and then I read how all these people are loosing speech and having to reboot all the time. Of course I do realize that I am pretty much only hearing from the people with problems. The people with no problems are not having anything to complain about or needing help to make it work. So just being a little gun shy and again holding to the past tried andtrue. Smile.

Thanks I'll install it when it gets here.

Before that count on another email that will want directions on backing up my 7.2 set files just in case! I have a few on here that took me forever to get just so and I sure don't want to have to stumble around again to make it work again, especially since I do not remember all the things I did to make them.

Shannon,

No problem with read to end with IE8, WE 7.5, xp with service pack 3, outlook express. I suspect netbats problem may be related to something else.

Best,
Steve

Does any one else share this observation of IE 8 not reading with read to end with WE 7.5?

I have not done my up grade yet. I'm still running 7.2.

I read my Book Share files with IE and use the read to end feature allot.

If this is broken then I would be extremely upset when I made the upgrade.

I am not going to benefit much from this upgrade as it stands right now, since I am still running XP so if I break the read to end feature I would be shooting myself in the foot.

So I would appreciate anyone else that has this problem to speak up.

Thanks Shannon

hi staff.
you stated that read to end right now does not work with i e 9.
well it doesn't work with firefox 3.6 or i e 8 either
it will only read a few lines and stop. then focus goes back to the last paragraph it has already read. as some listers stated. the beta program should of continued longer until some more of the problems were worked out. on the other hand, the way the economy is going you need some more money comeing in to keep the company going. grin.
