Have you folks ever had a professional scriptor give you an estimate on how
much it would cost to create and, or, manage custom scripts for one of the
Accounting Packages? I see questions about accessibility of Accounting
packages crop up over and over year after year from business owners or other
professionals.
It seems to me that getting together and hiring someone to create some good
scripts for either the Quick Products or Peachtree or whatever would be the
professional solution to a professional problem.
If you make your living as a business owner or professional you really
should have professional level software and not try and just use freebies or
create your own hacks. If I was a business owner or professional like a
Financial Analyst or Lawyer I would not expect my clients to do their own
Financial Analysis or do their own Legal work and get it right.
If they made a mistake it could cost them. That's why your clients would
come to you so wwhy haven't you professionals contacted software
professionals to do their thing?
That is just my opinion so take it for what it is worth.
By the way, my opinion is free... So it might be worth every penny of the
cost - grin.This is just a suggestion but what I would do if my job or
business depended on the use of accounting processes.
