Hmm. I don't have that problem And why would you turn on browse mode manully when it should come on automatically? For me, if instant is off, mine usually comes on automatically. I just hit enter on the edit box, that turns browse mode off, type in what I'm looking for, , hit enter and it usually comes back on automatically.

When you then manually turn on browse mode before hitting enter, you will find the results right there. It's as if google instant isn't turning off even if you tell it to. I'm having the same situation, but don't know if I have some other search tool invoked or what. I can't get to the bottom of it. ----- Original Message ----- From: Sandra Fouts<mailto:[email protected]> To: 'Tom'<mailto:[email protected]> ; GW Micro<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Friday, April 01, 2011 8:18 AM Subject: RE: Google and window-Eyes version 7 Guys. I don't understand the problem about google instant. If you just go to www.google.com<http://www.google.com> this usually a link that says, "Screen readers click here to turn instant off." Just do that! ________________________________ From: Tom [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, April 01, 2011 5:20 AM To: GW Micro Subject: Re: Google and window-Eyes version 7 Hi Edmund, To avoid Google Instant, why not use the accessible Google page. http://labs.google.com/accessible/ Tom. ----- Original Message ----- From: Edmund Dunlop<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Friday, April 01, 2011 10:38 AM Subject: Re: Google and window-Eyes version 7 Hello gw staff and listers I am using Window-Eyes version 7.2 on both XP and Windows 7 machines. When I am in the edit box I cannot type more than a few letters without suggestion coming up. This is despite having switch off google instant before entering the edit box. I have tried going in to the settings and entering search mode but all I get is "no" button. Is there a way of finding out what the buttons are for? Any help in solving this will be appreciated as it is so annoying. Yours Sincerely Edmund Dunlop If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
