If you are just trying to share a file, then the instructions Donald gives are correct. Just keep in mind that when you put something in the public folder of your dropbox folder anyone in possession of the link to that file can see it. That directory is not supposed to be searchable by search spiders, but if someone forwares the link or what ever, then it can be seen. The instructions I gave will create a folder that is shared by only the people you envite.
