I wanted to check something yesterday with a microphone on my computer.
Under Sound I saw a link labeled something about using speech input on the
computer. I clicked on it and ended up for the next hour or so setting up
speech input on my Windows 7 computer. Window Eyes didn't do such a great
job reading the several windows it took to get through the setup but I
managed to get enough of the windows read that I got through the setup and
speech input now works very well on my computer. I used Naturally Speaking
a few years ago and this is just as good. Controlling the computer and
doing dictation all seems to work fine.
