my w e 7.5 usually crashes when firefox 3.6.16 crashes. i can usually avoid
w e from crashing if i open the task manager with control shift escape key
and terminate firefox. if i let the computer set there for about 20 seconds
after firefox crashes and do nothing then w e will crash and give the tones
that let you know it has crashed too.

Yep, I get them too, more often than i'd like considering my machine's
power, win7-64 with quadcore and 8 gb ram. I too get them when
alt-tabbing, particularly out of firefox. I'll get silence and then three
beeps and then usually a, wineyes.exe application error, message saying
that the memory at 0x0000 something or other could not be read, click ok
to terminate the program. I usually have to launch narrator to see what
the thing says, but occasionally I can press the spacebar and window-eyes
closes and I can re-open it, but more often than not I have to use the
kill wineyes ap which means that I have to get speech back, if I can, and
then relaunch wineyes to get it to speak icons and tree views properly.
I have also sent error reports, have made comments about what I was doing
when the error occured, but lately have just sent them without comments
because I'm not sure what to say. Needless to say it's a rather big hassle
and is confusing and frustrating. It has happened on both desktop on
laptop as well.

Yes, I have these type of silences.
They usually happen when working with copying large amounts of data, or
in the App Manager.
Sometimes I eventually get speech back by pressing Windows-m, or by
pressing Insert-Backslash.
In the App manager, for example, if I try to manually load a file by
typing in its name and make a typo, it may take to minutes to get speech
back and find out that that file doesn't exist.
It seems like Window-Eyes has gone into a loop and can't get out.

I have occasional crashes. It seems to happen when I am exiting Internet
Explorer or possibly alt-tabbing through other open windows. WindowEyes
quits speaking, there's some disk activity and then I hear a few tones
from
my PC speaker. I can usually restart WindowEyes with ctrl-alt-w. Using
XP
Home with latest updates. Have sent in error reports but was wondering
if
this happens to anyone else?
