Might help to list what your system is using at the beginning of a post
to avoid this and also reduce the number of questions asked that further
delay a respnnse to an issue.

I will answer this with my experience. I am making a presumption that you
are using Windows 7. That is when my issues began. I understand that
Windows Explorer no longer uses a true list view. Therefore, if your
mouse happens to be somewhere in the middle of the screen, it is likely
Windows Explorer sees it as being where you want your focus. In order to
maintain your previous position, I would recommend that you place your
mouse pointer at the top right of the screen and leave it there. This has
greatly decreased my occurrances of losing focus in folders. The other
issue I have run into happens when a folder is first open. The top item
in the file is not always the one listed. Therefore, I also recommend that
you do a control-home when you first open the folder to ensure that you
see all of the files.

Hi folks:
I am just wondering if anyone else using Window eyes has experienced
this same issue before. Here is the problem I am having. When I go in to
a folder that has mp3's, I will highlight an mp3 file to play. Winamp
comes up and plays that mp3. That's all well and good. Here's the
problem. Let's say the mp3 is number 22 in the list. As stated earlier,
Winamp comes up and plays it. But you don't stay highlighted in the
background on that mp3. You are brought back up to the top of your list
of mp3's. I have also tried this with video files as well. I remember
reading someware that your desktop can refresh like a webpage if not
set. I can't remember where that is to turn that off. This is an
annoyance and I have uninstalled all toolbars if I found them and ran a
scan for malware. And there is none. I am running Xp. Am I missing
something?
