I did just that but, it still forced me to update and tthe message also said
I was not sucure in FireFox.

all you had to do is go into the tools pull down and options. then to
update and uncheck the option to search for updates. then it won't ask
you.

I tried to keep my version of FireFox installed on my machine but it
insisted that I updated to FireFox version 4.0. It was giving me an alert
that I was no longer protected from threats and so I was forced to get the
latest version of FireFox. I at first was running version 3.0.7, then
installed 3.17. But, it still insisted that I should have the latest one
so I got it. But, I haven't tried it with Window eyes yet since it is not
yet accessible. I am running 7.5 of Window eyes and running Windows xp
home with service pack 3.

Window-Eyes 7.2 will not work very well with Firefox 4. We are working
on an update for 7.5 users which will make the two work much better
together.
