Bill,

I was a long-time Audition user and have tried the trial version of the latest
version and it seems to work pretty well with
the Audition app. Unfortunately, my trial ran out before I could really check
all aspects of it, so I would urge you to try
it with the trial first before making a decision. It uses some alternative
ways of displaying text that requires that
information come through the apps, so one would really need to spend some time
with it to be sure. Sound Forge uses
more traditional methods of displaying text, but it isn't perfect, either.
Most of my use was with editing audio files, and I
don't know much about the multi-track view. I used 1.5 a lot and liked that,
but Audition 2.0 was very hard if not
impossible to use. However 3.0, with the app, is better and at least worth
looking at. I can't stress enough, though,
that you have to use it with the Window-eyes app to bring it to life.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
