I went to best buy this morning and picked up some kind of go pro sound blaster external sound card. So I plug it in to my laptop, throw in the CD, and install it, etc etc. Now, mind you, I had to have sighted help to install the crazy thing in the first place. Ok, so I hooked up some external speakers to the soundcard, as the guy at best buy told me to do. Everything worked great! However, the soundcard changed the sound from the default card on my laptop, a sound MAX HD Audio card, to that card. I got the system sounds back to the default card, and finally, the speech. Now, my system is screwed up! I mean screwed up! The system sounds, and the speech were both on my default card as I wanted, but then, oh, the system sounds and microphone decided that they were going to take a little vacation to the beach or something. So, I was about ready to pull my hair out! I took the other soundcard out, and uninstalled the drivers and such. Then, I decided, well, how about restoring the system? Tryed it, no luck! I am going to take the external soundcard back, but now, in my default card, no system sounds, no microphone, but speech. I'm also unable to listen to music, and like I said, do anything else, but listen to window-eyes on the computer. I couldn't find a download for the sound MAX HD Audio driver, for the internal soundcard. Running we 7.5 on an HP 65 10 B laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
