I like having Window-Eyes spoken on startup because that tells me when I
can use my computer. This is especially handy on one of those mornings
when Windows decides to take about a minute or two to finally boot. I
do feel that the version number being spoken is no more needed in
Window-Eyes than in any other program. In fact, given that Window-Eyes
has made it so easy to find the version number makes it unnecessary.
There are programs where it would come in handy if the version was
spoken as some programs require navigation through several levels just
to find out what it is. Of course, this is my own personal preference.
