Hi Don,

Michelle Stevens here,

I think one point raised by your difficulties in understanding letters,
shows me that there are quite a number of blind people who may be Deafblind
or have a substantial hearing loss. I use a cochlear implant and a strong
hearing aid and I find it very difficult hearing my computer due to my
hearing loss. This is why I use a Braille display as well as the
synthesizer. I have it to its maximum loudest, and I use a slower pace of
speech rate than usual. I would be lost without my Braille display.

I wonder if GW needs to consider doing further work on working with
customers with hearing loss to see if things can be improved for us? Since
hearing loss will be quite an issue as the Blind population is aging.

Regards

Michelle
