Hello Don, I thought the battery on the DoubleTalk LT was just a standard 9 Volt, which is easy to remove. At least, that's what it is on mine.

Like many of these double talks, the battery is gone. However, I was still using it until I got my new computer with windows 7 and use software synthesizers. If anybody is interested, send me a note. I am not using it and to my best knowledge it still works plugged into an ac outlet. Also, I have never removed the battery, but, it still worked. the problem is I am in Ontario Canada.
