I think this type of app can have huge applications for identifying
windows elements/controls.
For example, tests have shown that many of our brains can process
information by sound much more quickly than by words. Think of Internet
Explorer when in browse mode. We come across links, buttons, check
boxes, edit fields, radio buttons, and so on. If each specific control
had a unique sound that would allow us to browse a bit more quickly and
process the type of control much faster than listening to WE say those
words.
Advertisers have recognized this for years. People will associate a
unique sound or jingle to a product much faster than the name of the
product either visually or audibly.
